Eastern Thailand is the world's major producer of Mangosteen, known as Mongkut in Thai.A tree that thrives on heavy rainfall, April to May is when the fruit is ready for harvest. Besides using the popular sweet white fruit, the rind has long been used by South East Asians as an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic and as a treatment for skin rashes. Mangosteen rind is rich in xanthones, a class of compounds that includes Alpha-Mangostin, Beta-Mangostin, Garcinone B, and Garcinone E. Recent scientific research has shown their may be some anti-cancer properties in these xanthones. Also, besides xanthones, mangosteen rind is also full of tannins, which are also have antiseptic, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.  Because of these qualities, no pesticides are used on the trees.

Some refer to Moringa as the "Miracle Tree." Moringa oleifera combines high nutritional value with wonderful medicinal benefits. Moringa contains important minerals, protein, vitamins, beta-carotene, amino acids and various other phenolics. Moringa also has a rich combination of quercetin, beta-sitosterol, caffeoylquinic acid, zeatin plus kaempferol that is unusual in the plant world.

Moringa works as a circulatory stimulant of the cardiovascular system and also has antipyretic, antiepileptic, antiinflammatory, cholesterol-lowering, antioxidant, antidiabetic, hepatoprotective, antibacterial and antifungal properties. Traditional cultures in Asia have long used Moringa for the treatment of various ailments. Because of these uses, moringa has become a popular supplement for nutritional health.

Moringa is a tough, resilient tree that can grow in a variety of weak soils and climates. Moringa grows quickly, up to 3-5 meters per years, and since it is one of the fastest growing trees on the planet, it makes for an excellent nutrition source. Our moringa leaf is from northeast Thailand where it is grown organically. Northeast Thailand is known for its weak soil and sporadic rainfall, therefore moringa is an excellent crop for this region.

Because moringa can be grown quickly and easily in some parts of the world, moringa is used in feeding programs to fight malnutrition. Immature green pods are cooked like green beans. From more mature pods the seeds are removed and cooked like peas or roasted. The leaves are also cooked or dried and powdered for use as a condiment.
